Jo’s novel mention for Jubilee

Long-term supporter Jo Buchanan Hay has published her first novel, Constance and Me – and Jubilee Campaign gets a mention in the story. Available from Amazon or jo-buchanan-hay.co.uk

Fr Stuart’s Retirement Gift

Father Stuart Bates (centre) played a pivotal role in helping us launch Heal the Land. He has retired from St Hilda’s Church Crofton Park, but his legacy will continue.

St Hilda’s Lent Appeal

St Hilda’s, Crofton Park, raised over £1000 in their Lent Giving appeal. This funded a research trip for keyworkers in Muzondo to learn life-changing skills in water harvesting and eco-restorative farming.

Clare’s Birthday Blessings

Clare celebrated her birthday by ditching gifts and raising £167 for us instead. Clare is a loyal supporter and friend who encouraged her family to become supporters too.

St Paul’s Olympic Fun Day

The congregation at St Paul’s Church, Addlestone fundraised for us at their Olympic Fun Day. A raffle and silent auction raised money to buy sports equipment for the children at Jessie’s House.

Chris’s Pointless Win

Chris Rogers appeared on a special celebrity edition of BBC’s Pointless, dedicating his winnings to our Scholarship Fund in the Philippines

Douglas’s Retirement Donation

Douglas donated his retirement gift: “I want Jubilee Campaign to use the funds for their fantastic work in freeing young vulnerable girls from being sold into slavery across Asia”.

Donald’s Penalty Fee Donation

When the council cancelled Donald’s parking fine on appeal, he thanked them and said he was donating double the penalty fee to Jubilee Campaign and sent them our newsletter.

2022

Simon: In Dad’s Memory

In tribute to his father, Simon helped pay to extend the Community Farm in Muzondo. “My father would have been delighted that part of his legacy was this farm that will have a transformative impact.”

St Hilda’s Shop Fundraiser

St Hilda’s Church, Crofton Park donated their Lent appeal which paid to set up a shop in Muzondo. It is the only shop of its kind in the village and plays an essential role in the community of Muzondo.

Sue’s Just Act

Down Memory Lane

Sue celebrated her 60th birthday by raising over £1000 for our work. Sue worked for Danny Smith in 1981 on his first campaign (for the Siberian Seven) and was his first secretary.

Graham and Eirene’s Golden Anniversary

Graham and Eirene marked their golden wedding anniversary with a gift for our work. They told us, “Looking out for and helping the underprivileged is inspirational, because children are the future”

Dave and Anne’s Ruby Milestone

“It's our Ruby wedding anniversary so this gift is an especially nice way for us to mark the occasion”. We were delighted to see that Milo, their Springer spaniel, photobombed the picture.

Joan’s Well

Our loyal supporter Joan left us a legacy in her will which we used to provide a second bore hole in Muzondo village. Now even more families have access to clean water in this remote community.

Frank and Lynne’s Wedding Anniversary

Frank and Lynne celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by donating to our Banchada appeal. £350 was raised and as always 100% of the proceeds were sent to the project.
