Professor Lord Alton of Liverpool was a Member of the House of Commons for 18 years and today is an Independent cross-bench life Peer. He began his career as a teacher but, in 1972, he was elected to Liverpool City Council as Britain’s youngest City Councillor. For the past twenty years, Jubilee Campaign has been exceptionally effective in taking practical action for the oppressed. I have witnessed the difference Jubilee has made to suffering communities and individuals around the world.  Those facing prison or even death have walked free. Children have been protected, rescued and seen their exploiters brought to justice.

Jubilee’s track record demonstrates that ordinary people can change the world.  I want to see more victories for justice. I know Jubilee has the opportunity to achieve that. But we need help. We need people to join us in believing that good can over come evil.  We need partners who will play their part in challenging injustice.
