Who we are

Jubilee Campaign, with consultative status at the UN, can now extend its mission and combine both lobbying and charitable action to help even more Children at Risk.

Jubilee Campaign is an effective human rights pressure group that tackles the cause of injustice and has been successful at bringing real and lasting change for Children at Risk and Persecuted Christian families worldwide.

David Alton (Lord Alton of Liverpool) launched Jubilee Campaign in Parliament in 1987 with Danny Smith and others after the success of the Campaign to free the Siberian Seven.

Jubilee Campaign was awarded consultative status at the UN and helped to set up the All Party Parliamentary Group on Street Children and served as its secretariat since its inception in 1992.

New charitable laws in the UK has made it possible for Jubilee Campaign to extend its mission and the group have applied for charitable status to provide direct practical help where it will really make a difference and change more lives. This important development will enable Jubilee Campaign to work in strategic partnerships with people such as Fr Shay Cullen’s Preda Foundation in the Philippines, and with Revd K.K. Devaraj’s Bombay Teen Challenge in India.

Urgent Message from Danny Smith - I need your help!

Dear Friends

We have lost our database - As a result, I have been unable to contact our ‘friends’ directly.

If you did not receive a personal letter from me – it is because I don’t have your name and address and I am unable to communicate with you.

If you supported any of our campaigns and projects over the last twenty years - please contact me directly. I urgently need to hear from you as I want to send you some important news about the major changes that have occurred within Jubilee.

Important – please read this carefully: If you do not receive newsletters and mail from Danny Smith and Jubilee Campaign – but only hear from Jubilee Action it is because I do not have your name and address and have not been able to write personally to you.

Please email or write directly to me as soon as you can. I want to tell you that:

  • We have applied for charitable status for Jubilee Campaign.
  • I am now leading Jubilee Campaign and no longer linked with Jubilee Action.
  • Fr Shay Cullen and Rev Devaraj will continue in strategic partnership with us.

Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to get in touch. Please email me directly or write by post; you can use our free post address and write at no cost to you.

Thank you again

Danny Smith

PS I have extra copies of ‘Slavery now and then’ and would like to send one to you. Just send your details to me -
