Who we are
Jubilee Campaign combines effective lobbying with transformation charitable action for Children at Risk worldwide.
David Alton (Lord Alton of Liverpool) and Danny Smith launched Jubilee Campaign in Parliament in 1987 with the support of over 150 Members of Parliament after the success of the Campaign to Free the Siberian Seven. Jubilee Campaign gained consultative status at the UN and helped to set up the All Party Parliamentary Group on Street Children and served as its secretariat since its inception in 1992.
New charity laws in the UK made it possible for Jubilee Campaign to extend its mission and we have now successfully gained charitable status. This important development has enabled Jubilee Campaign to continue working in strategic partnerships with people such as Fr Shay Cullen’s Preda Foundation in the Philippines, and with Reverend K.K. Devaraj’s Bombay Teen Challenge in India.
Jubilee Campaign is a charity registered in England & Wales no. 1132442 and 501c3 Tax Exempt in the United States.

"For the past twenty years, Jubilee Campaign has been exceptionally effective in taking practical action for the oppressed. I have witnessed the difference Jubilee has made to suffering communities and individuals around the world. Those facing prison or even death have walked free. Children have been protected, rescued and seen their exploiters brought to justice. Jubilee’s track record demonstrates that ordinary people can change the world. I want to see more victories for justice. I know Jubilee has the opportunity to achieve that. But we need help. We need people to join us in believing that good can over come evil. We need partners who will play their part in challenging injustice." ~ David Alton
